The Literary Drover No. 1998

Writing is hard work. Producing quality writing is even harder, and long-term the demand required to do so can become detrimental. More than a few Writers I know have aged because of the toll their work has taken on them.

When I decided to make writing my profession and career I also decided I needed a balance between my working life and the rest of my life. In this balance there are several other pursuits, including photography.

Several years ago I had the opportunity to show my photographs professionally and was encouraged to continue to do so. I pursued the suggestion and find a growing demand for my visual works.

Recently, as I prepared a selection of my photographs for a showing, it was pointed out to me that every photograph in the collection told a story, and collectively they told another story. It seems I destined to be a storyteller, a teller of stories.
